2/4 = 2 × 3/4 × 3 = 6/12 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 3 × 4 = 12,
2/3 = 2 × 4/3 × 4 = 8/12 - Add the two like fractions:
6/12 + 8/12 = 6 + 8/12 = 14/12 - 14/12 simplified gives 7/6
- So, 2/4 + 2/3 = 7/6
In mixed form: 11/6
