Steps for adding fractions

  4. Add the two like fractions:
    15/6 + 12/6 = 15 + 12/6 = 27/6
  5. 27/6 simplified gives 9/2
  6. So, 5/2 + 6/3 = 9/2
    In mixed form: 41/2
