- Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:

Next, find the equivalent fraction of both fractional numbers with denominator 20 - For the 1st fraction, since 20 × 1 = 20,
10/20 = 10 × 1/20 × 1 = 10/20 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 10 × 2 = 20,
6/10 = 6 × 2/10 × 2 = 12/20 - Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
