10/12 + 21/30 is 23/15.

Steps for adding fractions

  1. Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:
    LCM of 12 and 30 is 60
  2. For the 1st fraction, since 12 × 5 = 60,
    10/12 = 10 × 5/12 × 5 = 50/60
  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 30 × 2 = 60,
    21/30 = 21 × 2/30 × 2 = 42/60
  4. Add the two fractions:
    50/60 + 42/60 = 50 + 42/60 = 92/60
  5. After reducing the fraction, the answer is 23/15
  6. In mixed form: 18/15
