10/15 = 10 × 5/15 × 5 = 50/75 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 25 × 3 = 75,
10/25 = 10 × 3/25 × 3 = 30/75 - Add the two like fractions:
50/75 + 30/75 = 50 + 30/75 = 80/75 - 80/75 simplified gives 16/15
- So, 10/15 + 10/25 = 16/15
