Steps for adding fractions

  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 36 × 25 = 900,
    12/36 = 12 × 25/36 × 25 = 300/900
  4. Add the two like fractions:
    360/900 + 300/900 = 360 + 300/900 = 660/900
  5. 660/900 simplified gives 11/15
