2/4 = 2 × 5/4 × 5 = 10/20 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 10 × 2 = 20,
6/10 = 6 × 2/10 × 2 = 12/20 - Add the two like fractions:
10/20 + 12/20 = 10 + 12/20 = 22/20 - 22/20 simplified gives 11/10
- So, 2/4 + 6/10 = 11/10
