2/5 = 2 × 6/5 × 6 = 12/30 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 6 × 5 = 30,
4/6 = 4 × 5/6 × 5 = 20/30 - Add the two like fractions:
12/30 + 20/30 = 12 + 20/30 = 32/30 - 32/30 simplified gives 16/15
- So, 2/5 + 4/6 = 16/15
