Steps for adding fractions

2/6 = 2 × 8/6 × 8 = 16/48 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 16 × 3 = 48,
6/16 = 6 × 3/16 × 3 = 18/48 - Add the two like fractions:
16/48 + 18/48 = 16 + 18/48 = 34/48 - 34/48 simplified gives 17/24
- So, 2/6 + 6/16 = 17/24
