Steps for adding fractions

Next, find the equivalent fraction of both fractional numbers with denominator 70 - For the 1st fraction, since 7 × 10 = 70,
2/7 = 2 × 10/7 × 10 = 20/70 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 10 × 7 = 70,
5/10 = 5 × 7/10 × 7 = 35/70 - Add the two like fractions:
20/70 + 35/70 = 20 + 35/70 = 55/70 - 55/70 simplified gives 11/14
- So, 2/7 + 5/10 = 11/14
