4/6 = 4 × 5/6 × 5 = 20/30 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 15 × 2 = 30,
1/15 = 1 × 2/15 × 2 = 2/30 - Add the two like fractions:
20/30 + 2/30 = 20 + 2/30 = 22/30 - 22/30 simplified gives 11/15
- So, 4/6 + 1/15 = 11/15
