Add 5/6 and 4/20

5/6 + 4/20 is 31/30.

Steps for adding fractions

  1. Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:
    LCM of 6 and 20 is 60
  2. For the 1st fraction, since 6 × 10 = 60,
    5/6 = 5 × 10/6 × 10 = 50/60
  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 20 × 3 = 60,

  4. Add the two fractions:
