Steps for adding fractions

  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 50 × 2 = 100,

  4. Add the two like fractions:
    250/100 + 60/100 = 250 + 60/100 = 310/100
  5. 310/100 simplified gives 31/10
  6. So, 50/20 + 30/50 = 31/10
