Add 6/10 and 9/25

6/10 + 9/25 is 24/25.

Steps for adding fractions

  1. Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:
    LCM of 10 and 25 is 50
  2. For the 1st fraction, since 10 × 5 = 50,
    6/10 = 6 × 5/10 × 5 = 30/50
  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 25 × 2 = 50,
    9/25 = 9 × 2/25 × 2 = 18/50
  4. Add the two fractions:
    30/50 + 18/50 = 30 + 18/50 = 48/50
  5. After reducing the fraction, the answer is 24/25
