Add 6/20 and 2/10

6/20 + 2/10 is 1/2.

Steps for adding fractions

  1. Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:
    LCM of 20 and 10 is 20
  2. For the 1st fraction, since 20 × 1 = 20,
    6/20 = 6 × 1/20 × 1 = 6/20
  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 10 × 2 = 20,
    2/10 = 2 × 2/10 × 2 = 4/20
  4. Add the two fractions:
    6/20 + 4/20 = 6 + 4/20 = 10/20
  5. After reducing the fraction, the answer is 1/2
