Steps for adding fractions

  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 10 × 2 = 20,
    9/10 = 9 × 2/10 × 2 = 18/20
  4. Add the two like fractions:
    30/20 + 18/20 = 30 + 18/20 = 48/20
  5. 48/20 simplified gives 12/5
  6. So, 6/4 + 9/10 = 12/5
    In mixed form: 22/5
