6/9 = 6 × 2/9 × 2 = 12/18 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 6 × 3 = 18,
4/6 = 4 × 3/6 × 3 = 12/18 - Add the two like fractions:
12/18 + 12/18 = 12 + 12/18 = 24/18 - 24/18 simplified gives 4/3
- So, 6/9 + 4/6 = 4/3
