Add 7/14 and 9/10

7/14 + 9/10 is 7/5.

Steps for adding fractions

  1. Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:
    LCM of 14 and 10 is 70
  2. For the 1st fraction, since 14 × 5 = 70,
    7/14 = 7 × 5/14 × 5 = 35/70
  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 10 × 7 = 70,
    9/10 = 9 × 7/10 × 7 = 63/70
  4. Add the two fractions:
    35/70 + 63/70 = 35 + 63/70 = 98/70
  5. After reducing the fraction, the answer is 7/5
  6. In mixed form: 12/5
