9/15 = 9 × 4/15 × 4 = 36/60 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 20 × 3 = 60,
10/20 = 10 × 3/20 × 3 = 30/60 - Add the two like fractions:
36/60 + 30/60 = 36 + 30/60 = 66/60 - 66/60 simplified gives 11/10
- So, 9/15 + 10/20 = 11/10
