- Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:

Next, find the equivalent fraction of both fractional numbers with denominator 175 - For the 1st fraction, since 25 × 7 = 175,
1025 = 10 × 725 × 7 = 70175 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 35 × 5 = 175,
1035 = 10 × 535 × 5 = 50175 - Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
- 70175 > 50175 or 1025 > 1035
