  1. Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:

    Next, find the equivalent fraction of both fractional numbers with denominator 105

    14/15 = 14 × 7/15 × 7 = 98/105
  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 7 × 15 = 105,
    30/7 = 30 × 15/7 × 15 = 450/105
  4. Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
  5. 98/105 < 450/105 or 14/15 < 30/7
