  1. Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:

    Next, find the equivalent fraction of both fractional numbers with denominator 84

    15/28 = 15 × 3/28 × 3 = 45/84
  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 3 × 28 = 84,
    6/3 = 6 × 28/3 × 28 = 168/84
  4. Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
  5. 45/84 < 168/84 or 15/28 < 6/3
