  1. Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:

    Next, find the equivalent fraction of both fractional numbers with denominator 63

    15/9 = 15 × 7/9 × 7 = 105/63
  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 7 × 9 = 63,
    3/7 = 3 × 9/7 × 9 = 27/63
  4. Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
  5. 105/63 > 27/63 or 15/9 > 3/7
