3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 8 × 3 = 24,
   9/8 = 9 × 3/8 × 3 = 27/24
4. Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
5. 8/24 < 27/24 or 2/6 < 9/8
