Next, find the equivalent fraction of both fractional numbers with denominator 60 - For the 1st fraction, since 15 × 4 = 60,
3/15 = 3 × 4/15 × 4 = 12/60 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 4 × 15 = 60,
2/4 = 2 × 15/4 × 15 = 30/60 - Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
- 12/60 < 30/60 or 3/15 < 2/4
