  1. Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:

    Next, find the equivalent fraction of both fractional numbers with denominator 160

    30/32 = 30 × 5/32 × 5 = 150/160
  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 10 × 16 = 160,
    12/10 = 12 × 16/10 × 16 = 192/160
  4. Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
  5. 150/160 < 192/160 or 30/32 < 12/10
