Next, find the equivalent fraction of both fractional numbers with denominator 20 - For the 1st fraction, since 20 × 1 = 20,
4/20 = 4 × 1/20 × 1 = 4/20 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 5 × 4 = 20,
3/5 = 3 × 4/5 × 4 = 12/20 - Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
- 4/20 < 12/20 or 4/20 < 3/5
