  1. Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:

    48/36 = 48 × 7/36 × 7 = 336/252
  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 7 × 36 = 252,
    10/7 = 10 × 36/7 × 36 = 360/252
  4. Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
