Next, find the equivalent fraction of both fractional numbers with denominator 60 - For the 1st fraction, since 15 × 4 = 60,
5/15 = 5 × 4/15 × 4 = 20/60 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 20 × 3 = 60,
4/20 = 4 × 3/20 × 3 = 12/60 - Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
- 20/60 > 12/60 or 5/15 > 4/20
