  1. Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:

    6/15 = 6 × 16/15 × 16 = 96/240
  3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 16 × 15 = 240,
    25/16 = 25 × 15/16 × 15 = 375/240
  4. Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
  5. 96/240 < 375/240 or 6/15 < 25/16
