- Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:

62 = 6 × 32 × 3 = 186 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 3 × 2 = 6,
53 = 5 × 23 × 2 = 106 - Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
