Steps for comparing fractions

1. Find the least common denominator or LCM of the two denominators:

   8/3 = 8 × 2/3 × 2 = 16/6
3. Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 6 × 1 = 6,
   10/6 = 10 × 1/6 × 1 = 10/6
4. Since the denominators are now the same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction
5. 16/6 > 10/6 or 8/3 > 10/6
