10/20 = 10 × 3/20 × 3 = 30/60 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 15 × 4 = 60,
6/15 = 6 × 4/15 × 4 = 24/60 - Add the two like fractions:
30/60 + 24/60 = 30 + 24/60 = 54/60 - 54/60 simplified gives 9/10
- So, 10/20 + 6/15 = 9/10
