Steps for adding fractions

6/10 = 6 × 6/10 × 6 = 36/60 - Likewise, for the 2nd fraction, since 12 × 5 = 60,
4/12 = 4 × 5/12 × 5 = 20/60 - Add the two like fractions:
36/60 + 20/60 = 36 + 20/60 = 56/60 - 56/60 simplified gives 14/15
- So, 6/10 + 4/12 = 14/15
